About the Inpatient Pharmacy

Hospital Coverage: Entire facility
Total Beds: 285 private rooms
Team Size: ~50 staff
- 30 Pharmacists
- 20 Pharmacy Technicians

Staffing Model

Day Shift: Majority decentralized pharmacists; 2 pharmacists in Main Pharmacy
Evening Shift: 2 pharmacists in Main Pharmacy; 2–3 technicians
Night Shift: 1 pharmacist; 2 technicians

Technology & Systems

Equipment: DoseEdge, Pyxis, PakEdge
EMR: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet all of the following:

Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy
Active license to practice Pharmacy in the state of Missouri

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with these skills will be prioritized:

ACLS and BLS certifications
NICU experience

Typical Responsibilities

Vancomycin, aminoglycoside, and anticoagulant dosing
Pain management consults
Medication verification
Oversight of pharmacy technicians, including:
- Sterile IV compounding (DoseEdge verification)
- Pyxis checks
- First‑dose processing
- Emergency medication box review
