Radiology Manager
Direct Hire | Full‑Time | Leadership Role
A regional healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Radiology Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for its Diagnostic Imaging Department. This role is responsible for overseeing daily radiology operations, staff leadership, quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and financial performance.
The Radiology Manager plays a critical role in ensuring high‑quality imaging services, supporting interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing departmental performance aligned with organizational goals.
Position Overview:
- Permanent, full‑time direct‑hire leadership role
- Radiology department oversight
- On‑site position in Minnesota
- Occasional weekends and holidays as needed
Compensation:
- Salary range: $93,308 – $140,504 (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Department Leadership & Operations
- Provide oversight of day‑to‑day radiology operations.
- Establish department goals, policies, procedures, and quality improvement programs.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and patient‑centered imaging services.
- Maintain staffing schedules and appropriate coverage levels.
- Hire, coach, mentor, and manage radiology staff performance.
- Support staff development, education, and competency validation.
Quality, Compliance & Patient Experience
- Develop and maintain annual quality improvement plans in collaboration with leadership.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
- Monitor imaging quality metrics and patient satisfaction data.
- Respond to patient and family concerns and ensure appropriate resolution.
- Maintain documentation and reporting related to quality and performance.
Financial & Strategic Oversight
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets and variance reports.
- Identify cost‑savings opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Participate in development of new imaging programs and service line initiatives.
- Support long‑range planning and departmental growth.
OR & Procedural Imaging Oversight
- Oversee imaging support for orthopedic, spine, and surgical procedures.
- Ensure proper use and cleaning of portable imaging equipment and C‑arm units.
- Maintain understanding of sterile field practices in the operating room.
- Support imaging workflows in OR and PACU environments.
Qualifications:
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in radiology services (CT, Mammography preferred)
- 2–3 years of supervisory or management experience required
Licensure & Certifications
- ARRT certification in Radiology required
- Additional registry in CT or Mammography preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or within 3 months of hire)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, communication, and delegation skills
- Ability to analyze imaging data and performance metrics
- Experience with budgeting, reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency with standard computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
