Travel Registered Nurse – Rehabilitation Unit

DCH Health System – Northport Medical Center

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: 4/13/26
  • Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
  • Weekends: Every other weekend
  • Holidays: As required
  • Float Requirements: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

About the Rehabilitation Pavilion

The DCH Rehabilitation Pavilion at Northport Medical Center provides continued hospital‑level care for patients transitioning from acute settings. The unit supports recovery for patients with stroke, hip fractures, pulmonary conditions, and other complex needs.

Patients receive:

  • 24‑hour medical monitoring
  • Daily rounding by physiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and rehab nurses
  • Access to advanced therapy equipment, including:
    • Body‑weight support systems for gait recovery
    • High‑repetition treadmills
    • Dynavision for reaction‑time and visual‑processing training
    • A simulation vehicle for safe practice entering/exiting a car

Required Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing

Required Certifications

  • AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS

Required Licensure

  • Active Alabama RN license or Compact RN license
  • NURSYS verification
  • Temporary licenses not accepted

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Will consider 18 months of experience if practicing under the highest level of licensure
  • Must have 1 year of recent experience in the specialty
