Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health
Location: Avondale, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (7 AM - 7 PM)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Call Requirements: No call

Job Description
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling therapies to patients with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders, including group, individual, and family therapy.
- Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Communicate proactively with clients, families, and referral sources, adhering to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations.
- Participate actively in treatment planning, working with patients to achieve goals and revising plans as needed.
- Collaborate consistently with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff.
- Work with utilization review to communicate about length of stay and treatment.
- Develop thorough discharge plans to meet aftercare needs, ensuring patients and families receive appropriate paperwork for continuity of care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
- BLS certification.
- Handle With Care (HWC) certification.
Additional Information
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs.
- No float or weekend hours required.
- Electronic Health Record system used: Pinpoint.
This position does not require prior travel experience.
