Job Description

• Provide psychotherapy and counseling therapies to patients with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders, including group, individual, and family therapy.
• Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Communicate proactively with clients, families, and referral sources, adhering to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations.
• Participate actively in treatment planning, working with patients to achieve goals and revising plans as needed.
• Collaborate consistently with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff.
• Work with utilization review to communicate about length of stay and treatment.
• Develop thorough discharge plans to meet aftercare needs, ensuring patients and families receive appropriate paperwork for continuity of care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• BLS certification.
• Handle With Care (HWC) certification.

Additional Information

• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs.
• No float or weekend hours required.
• Electronic Health Record system used: Pinpoint.

This position does not require prior travel experience.
