<p><strong>Title:</strong> Orthopedic Surgery NP/PA (Locum Tenens)<br /><strong>Start Date:</strong> June 18, 2026<br /><strong>Duration:</strong> Ongoing</p><h3><strong>Job Overview</strong></h3><p>We are seeking experienced <strong>Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants</strong> to provide full-time orthopedic APP coverage in both clinic and OR settings. This role includes scheduled clinical hours and call responsibilities.</p><h3><strong>Schedule</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Mon–Thu:</strong> Clinic (8am–5pm) + OR (7:30am start; may extend to 3–5pm)</li><li><strong>Friday:</strong> Clinic/OR/Admin (7:30am–5pm)</li><li><strong>Call:</strong> 5–7 days/month + 24hr weekend call when scheduled</li><li><strong>Night Call:</strong> 5pm–8am</li></ul><h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Assist in orthopedic surgeries (trauma-focused preferred)</li><li>Provide outpatient and inpatient care</li><li>Manage pre/post-operative patients</li><li>Participate in call rotation</li></ul><h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3><ul><li>Active <strong>California NP or PA license</strong></li><li>Active <strong>CA DEA</strong></li><li><strong>BLS certification (required)</strong></li><li>Minimum <strong>2 years recent orthopedic clinical experience</strong></li><li>Comfortable in OR + clinic settings</li><li>Case logs required (for surgical experience)</li></ul><h3><strong>Credentialing</strong></h3><ul><li>Estimated timeframe: <strong>~90 days</strong></li><li>Privileges required prior to start</li></ul><h3><strong>Practice Details</strong></h3><ul><li>Setting: <strong>Inpatient &amp; Outpatient</strong></li><li>Patients per shift: <strong>20–22</strong></li><li>EMR: <strong>Epic</strong></li></ul>
