Shift:Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm

The Speech Therapist position assesses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in order to help individuals enhance their ability to communicate and swallow safely. 

Must be able to perform direct patient care: assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Complete patient documentation, including initial evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge reports. Contact insurance companies regarding benefits. Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions. Provide education to staff, including nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service workers, regarding results and recommendations following evaluations and providing guidance based on the most up-to-date research. Create in-service presentations and educational opportunities for staff. Collaborate with healthcare providers in order to provide patient-centered treatment. Clean treatment rooms following sessions. Provide reminder calls to patients. Aid patients and families in navigating the hospital. Perform other duties as requested.
