Description

13 weeks // Day 5x8-Hour (07:30 - 16:00)
2-3 years of experience required.
Registered Dietitian w/IL license for multidisciplinary team. Independent, critical thinker with great communication skills that practices patient advocacy while collaborating with speech pathology and other providers across care process.

Patient dx includes cancer with other comorbidities. Commonly includes obesity (breast, colon, prostate populations); diabetes/heart disease; GI complications (ostomy, IV feedings); medical nutrition therapy/symptom management. In Body 520 - body composition analysis commonly used. Provider support includes interpretation services, physical therapy, and social services.

Certifications REQUIRED: RD/RDN; State License (IL)

Skills/Experience REQUIRED: Adult Outpatient/Clinic; Enteral Nutrition (tube feedings); Nutrition Therapy Complications; Therapeutic Diet Orders; Cachexia; Cancer; Develop Plan of Treatment; Dietary Guidelines; Nutrient Deficiencies; Nutrition Assessments/Reassessments; Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE); Protein Calorie Malnutrition; Refeeding Syndrome
