Ultrasound Technologist (Allied) – Laconia, NH

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (04/06/2026 – 07/05/2026)

Shift: 8-Hour Days | Monday – Friday | 07:30 – 16:00

Job Summary

Seeking a versatile Ultrasound Technologist to join their Radiology team in the heart of the Lakes Region. This role involves performing a wide variety of diagnostic sonographic exams across all patient age groups. While this is a generalist position, the facility experiences a heavy volume of Vascular studies; therefore, strong vascular proficiency is key to success in this high-traffic department.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Sonography: Perform a full range of ultrasound exams, including abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
• Vascular Proficiency: Conduct extensive vascular studies, including Carotid Duplex, Venous Doppler (DVT studies), and Arterial exams.
• Patient Care: Manage patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, maintaining a professional and compassionate environment.
• Equipment Operation: Utilize Samsung Ultrasound Machines to perform studies and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Documentation: Use Cerner EMR and PACS for image storage, reporting, and patient tracking.
• Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in an acute care or busy clinical setting. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Certifications: * ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) – Required.
  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) – Highly preferred due to heavy vascular volume.
  • BLS (AHA) – Required.
• Licensure: Active New Hampshire (NH) Medical Imaging License.
• Technical Skills: Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred but not required.

• Shift Information: Consistent day shift with no on-call requirements.
• Patient Population: All age groups.

Financial & Logistics Notes

• Overtime Policy:  Weekly OT after 40 hours.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks with a target start date of April 6th.
• Pricing: Negotiations are permitted for this requisition.

Clinical Spotlight: The Lakes Region Sonographer

At the Laconia campus, the Ultrasound department is a hub for both outpatient diagnostics and acute inpatient needs. Given the "heavy vascular" note for this unit, you will be a primary resource for identifying critical issues like Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) or carotid artery stenosis. Your ability to provide detailed Doppler assessments on Samsung platforms is vital for the surgical and cardiovascular teams at Concord Hospital.
