Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Behavioral Health Technician to support patients in a behavioral healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will assist in providing a safe and therapeutic environment while supporting patients with daily activities and behavioral interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring and supporting patients with behavioral health needs
• Provide direct patient care and assist with daily living activities
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
• Observe and report changes in patient behavior or condition
• Assist with de-escalation and crisis intervention when necessary
• Collaborate with nurses and healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and care

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
• Ability to work in a behavioral healthcare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Required Certifications:

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or TEAM (Techniques for Effective Aggression Management)
• BLS (AHA or ARC Certification)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in a behavioral healthcare setting
• CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) Certification
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Certification
• Management of Assaultive Behavior Certification
