📍 Location: New York
🕒 Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
📅 Duration: 13 Weeks
⏱️ Hours: 36 hours/week guaranteed
🚫 Radius Rule: 60-mile local radius restriction applies
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in New York. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, prior travel experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs
- Identify and respond to life-threatening situations quickly and effectively
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and perform phlebotomy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation using MEDITECH EMR
- Ensure patient safety and proper use of lifting equipment
- May be required to function as Charge Nurse when needed
Requirements
- Active NY State RN License (Required)
- Minimum 3 years of ED experience (Preferred/Expected)
- Travel experience required
- MEDITECH experience required
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Certifications
- BLS (Required)
- ACLS (Required)
- PALS (Required or must obtain within 6 months)
- IV Therapy, Medication Administration & Phlebotomy Certification (during orientation)
- Must pass lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation
- Must obtain defibrillation certification within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications
- Critical Care experience
- Charge Nurse experience
- Strong leadership and delegation skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
