Description

Travel ER Registered Nurse (ED RN) – New York | April 6 Start

📍 Location: New York
🕒 Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
📅 Duration: 13 Weeks
⏱️ Hours: 36 hours/week guaranteed
🚫 Radius Rule: 60-mile local radius restriction applies

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in New York. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, prior travel experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs
  • Identify and respond to life-threatening situations quickly and effectively
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and perform phlebotomy
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation using MEDITECH EMR
  • Ensure patient safety and proper use of lifting equipment
  • May be required to function as Charge Nurse when needed

Requirements

  • Active NY State RN License (Required)
  • Minimum 3 years of ED experience (Preferred/Expected)
  • Travel experience required
  • MEDITECH experience required
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

Certifications

  • BLS (Required)
  • ACLS (Required)
  • PALS (Required or must obtain within 6 months)
  • IV Therapy, Medication Administration & Phlebotomy Certification (during orientation)
  • Must pass lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation
  • Must obtain defibrillation certification within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications

  • Critical Care experience
  • Charge Nurse experience
  • Strong leadership and delegation skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
