Description

Assists surgeons and anesthesiologist and coordinates flow of equipment, supplies and staff during a surgical procedure. Assures patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care. Participates in patient care planning, assessment and nursing treatment.

Requirements

Rotating Shift - 5 x 8s. Start times are 830am, 10am, and 12noon. M - F. ACLS, BLS, PALS are required. 2 years of experience. Must have experience in spine, ortho, gen, GYN - ability to scrub is a PLUS. There will be Call. Minimum 1 night a week and a weekend every 5 weeks.

Education and Work Experience:

Associate Degree(A.S.) or equivalent: Required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: Preferred
One year previous full time experience in the operating room: Required

Licenses/Certifications:

Current RN license in state of practice: Required
Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS OR HS-PALS OR RQIPALS) certification: Preferred
Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR): Preferred
Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
