Description
UNIT: Progressive Care
Certs Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Experience Required: 1.5 years. Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care and management, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management, etc), PCA pumps. Critical care drips to include Insulin, Nitroglycerin, Cardene, Diltiazem, Amiodarone; Heparin, Blood products.
EOW, no call. First time travelers not preferred but would consider.
Floating: Region 2 - Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main + CMC Mercy + Levine Children’s Hospital)
RN: 1:3-4
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Stroke, Heart Failure, Chest pain, patient requiring fluid resuscitation/blood products, COPD, Cardiac Cath pre/post, ETOH/CIWA, IVDA, Respiratory illnesses, GI Disorders and infections, Liver Failure, AKI/CKD
