Description
Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist II
Location: Tyler, TX
Position Type: 13 Weeks (40 Hours Expected)
Shift: Day – 5x8 Hour Shifts (06:30 - 15:00)
Weekly Pay Package: $1,600 Gross (Taxable Amount – $400 | Non-Taxable Stipend – $1,200)
Job Description:
• Certifications: MT/MLS/CLS/MLT certification required (ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS)
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science or related field required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year clinical lab experience preferred; Strong Transfusion Service (Blood Banking) skills required
• Skills: Experience in Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids
• Responsibilities: Perform routine and complex lab procedures, specimen processing, quality control, result reporting, and equipment maintenance
• Additional: Must be able to cross-train across lab sections and utilize Laboratory Information Systems
• Start Date: ASAP (Urgent Need)
