Location: Mathiesen Memorial Health Clinic – Jamestown, California Salary: $90 per hour (plus travel) 

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Outpatient Clinic (No weekends) No Call

Position Summary

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (FPA)  to provide comprehensive primary care for patients across the lifespan. The FNP will focus on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and chronic disease management while collaborating with physicians, behavioral health providers, and community health programs to promote overall wellness.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered primary care to individuals of all ages in an outpatient setting.
• Conduct physical, health assessments, order/interpret diagnostic tests, and create evidence-based treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications under California scope of practice and clinic protocols.
• Provide patient education on disease prevention, wellness, and chronic condition management.
• Collaborate with tribal programs, community health workers, and public health services for coordinated care.
• Accurately document all encounters in the EHR in a timely manner.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, case reviews, and staff meetings.
• Maintain professional competency and current knowledge of best practices.

Qualifications

• Current & unrestricted California RN and NP/PA license.
• National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC).
• DEA registration and furnishing number (or ability to obtain prior to hire).
• Current BLS (ACLS preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of primary care experience preferred.
• Experience with Native American or underserved populations preferred.
• Strong cultural competency and patient-centered communication skills.
