Job Details

Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Shift: • D/E • 4, 10s • 40 hr wks • 0630-1700

Required: • Must have prior Cath Lab & IR experience • Must have WA state Rad Tech License or Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist License • Must be graduate of approved program of radiological technology or cardiovascular technology • Must have one of the following certifications: ARRT, RCIS, CI, HRE, or RCES • BLS & ACLS

*Must be expected to float as a sitter, a few times as needed during their assignment.

Essential Functions: • Use of the fluoroscopy equipment, Epic EMR, MERGE hemo-dynamic system within the labs. • Accepts patients and assesses their condition to determine proper handling and special requirements. • Able to orient patient to lab environment, including equipment and procedure to be performed • Relies on extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease process for proper positioning to obtain maximum diagnostic information as evidenced by imaging. • Maintains fluoroscopy equipment, Contrast Injector, and other equipment in proper working condition. • Performs various clerical duties including, but not limited to: Verification of information and exams performed, using Epic and PACS. • Updates and changes exams description to reflect actual exams performed. • Properly charges all medical/surgical supplies used during procedures. • Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the Cath, IR and EP labs. • Sets up required equipment according to standards. Prep and scrub procedures in all labs using sterile technique. Records hemodynamic readings as per standards for each procedure. • Accountable for keeping Confluence Health Standards, protocols and procedures related to the department and keeping skills current.
