Unit Information:
EP Labs: 1 EP Lab, growing to 2 by end of 2026
Census? Average patients/day? 4-5 EP cases/day
Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years of EP experience for RN and Tech
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Adults only
EP Cases - Electrophysiology Studies (EPS), Catheter Ablations (PFA, Radiofrequency Ablations, and Cryoablations)
Implantable Devices: Generator changes, Cryoablations, Cardioversions, Pacemaker/Defib implants, Bi-V implants, leadless devices (Micra and Aveir Devices)
Required License, National Certification, Certs:
RN: BLS, ACLS
Tech: BLS, ACLS, ARRT-R OR RCIS or RCES
Skills required:
EP Tech: experience with above patient types, scrubbing, monitoring, cases. Will scrub/pan simultaneously
RN: experience with above patient types, moderate sedation versed/fentanyl, no propofol (anesthesia will come for any General Anesthesia cases), monitoring/circulating cases,
4 person teams in each case
Support within the Department:
Charge RN
Supervisor 4 days/week
Scheduler to schedule cases
Rapid Response/Code Team 24/7
RRT 24/7
Hospitalist 24/7
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Pyxis
Cardiolab for mapping cases, Reps will help with some cases as well and bring equipment
Hemodynamics: Merge
Floating: If yes, where?

Remainder of 1st week will be orienting
