Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech

Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

• Hours: 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM
• Call required if staying local
• Holiday help required; assist with call if living in the area

Specialty & Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Must have experience with Emergency Room (ER), Level 1 Trauma, and NICU/Neonates
• Modality: General X-ray
• Procedures include all ED general X-Ray exams including reductions/traumas, pediatric exams, and portable X-rays in units and on floors
• System Types used: Shimadzu Rad-Speed, Shimadzu Mobile Art MX8, AGFA DXD 100, Orthoscan mini-C-arm

Required Licensure & Certifications

• ARRT Certification
• Ohio State Radiology License
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AHA only)
• Advanced certifications as applicable (ACLS, PALS, NRP) may be required depending on assignment specifics

Required Qualifications & Compliance

• Valid X-Ray Technician license in Ohio
• Minimum of 1 year of X-Ray Technician experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• Experience working with Neonate patients
• Emergency Room (ER) experience
• Level 1 Trauma experience
• NICU/Neonates experience

Additional Requirements

• Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start, updated annually
• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (approx. 4-5 hours)
• Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references
• Employment application including 3 years prior work history, with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care and similar area
• Unit-specific skills checklist, updated annually

• Scrub color: Navy
• Candidates must be prepared to pick up facility badge on the first day
• Some certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) may be required depending on assignment; verify prior to start

This position requires a highly skilled X-Ray Tech with trauma and neonatal experience, appropriate licensure, and compliance with extensive health and background documentation.
