Duration of assignment: 18 weeks
Hours Needed:0730a-5pm (9hr shifts, 36hrs/week)
Days Needed/weekend requirement:4 days weekly M-F flexible schedule or 5 days M-F;
Weekend requirement is for call only.
Holiday requirement: no
Is Call required? If so, what is the expectation? Yes, 1 week of call every 3rd week Certifications needed: Active IL license, PALS, AHA CPR. Travelers do not have to go through the LCH APHON or SCT certifications
Experience required (min # of years): 3+ years of Hematology, Oncology Transplantation nursing experience required.
Pediatric experience preferred, not required
Equipment Used: Spectra Optia machine, Therakos CellEX machine Computer/EMR: Epic Description: Serves patients from infancy through adolescence, as well as young adults with acute or chronic medical conditions requiring the specialty knowledge and skills of Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation and Therapeutic Apheresis (TA). Perform all TA procedures- autologous, allogeneic, donor collection, and therapeutic - under the direction of the attending physician.
How many in the department? No, work with 1-2 other apheresis nurses each day. Call is taken alone.
