·       Type of staff:

o   Day Shift – 1 central pharmacist, 4 decentralized pharmacists, 1 ED pharmacist, 7 pharmacy technicians, 1 pharmacy buyer, 2 technician specialists

o   Night Shift – 1 central pharmacist, 1 pharmacy technician

·       Patient Ratios – varies per daily patient census

·       Type of equipment - none

·       EMR – Meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: 

Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

·       Prior hospital experience (prefer at least 2yrs)

·       Proof of completion of 20hr ACPE-accredited sterile compounding course (a letter attesting to completion of a course in sterile compounding from the pharmacist’s university / college will suffice, too)

Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first.

·        Meditech experience

·        Decentralized pharmacy experience – vancomycin dosing adjustments, renal dosing adjustments

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):  

·        Medication Order Verification / Entry

·        Supervise technical support personnel in drug preparation and distribution systems.

         Perform final dispensing check of all medication orders and complete required documentation. 

         Review / Monitoring of Override Reports (and other reports)
