Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a well‑equipped surgical services department. This opportunity is ideal for an OR nurse who is confident in a fast‑paced surgical environment and comfortable taking call as part of a collaborative team.

Position Overview

• Role: Travel RN
• Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
• Openings: 1
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
• Weekends: Only when on call
• Call Requirements:
  • Evenly shared among OR RNs
  • Typically begins at 5:00 PM
• Floating: May float to PACU as a second RN if needed

Unit Details

• Operating Rooms: 6 OR suites + 1 Endoscopy suite
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Case Mix:
  • 90% outpatient
  • 10% inpatient
• Patient Population:
  • 70% Adult
  • 28% Geriatric
  • 2% Pediatrics

Technology & Equipment

• EHR Systems: MedHost, CQI
• Equipment Includes:
  • New Olympus laparoscopic and endoscopic equipment
  • Advanced processors and monitors
  • Steris beds
  • HANA table

Required Qualifications

• Licensure:
  • Compact RN or Arizona RN license
• Certifications:
  • BLS required
  • ACLS preferred
  • PALS preferred (can be obtained onsite)
• Experience:
  • 1–2 years of OR experience in an acute care setting
