Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Albany, GA 31701
Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Schedule: 12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week | Days

Duration: 17 Weeks

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for an acute care hospital setting in Albany, Georgia. The ideal candidate must have strong critical care experience, be comfortable with high-acuity patient care, and have prior experience with intubations and ventilator management. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with heavy workloads while providing respiratory care to adult and pediatric patients.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Deliver respiratory therapy treatments including nebulizer treatments, airway management, Vapotherm, BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilator care
Perform ABG collection, bedside PFTs, and chest physiotherapy (CPT)
Manage ICU patients, including blood gas management and ventilator adjustments
Assist with and perform intubations as required
Support bronchoscopy procedures
Provide respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients; NICU support may require NRP certification
Work collaboratively with hospitalists, intensivists, nursing staff, and care teams
Serve in charge or clinical coordinator responsibilities when assigned
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech EMR
Adhere to hospital policies, shift schedules, and unit-specific workflows

Skills:

Strong critical care respiratory therapy skills
Experience with ventilator management, including Servo U and I models
Confidence in airway management and intubation
Ability to manage high patient volumes and heavy workloads
Knowledge of respiratory disease processes including COPD, CHF, pneumonia, respiratory failure, ARDS, and cancer-related complications
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability in fast-paced acute care environments

Requirements:

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
Active Georgia state license required
Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
At least 1 prior travel contract required
Critical care experience required
Certifications required: AHA - BLS, ACLS, PALS
NRP required only if working NICU
Must be comfortable working with adult ICU patients and ventilator management
Must comply with strict 75-mile radius rule
