🏥 Travel RN – Detox Unit | Pulaski, TN

📍 Facility Details

• Location: Pulaski, Tennessee
• Bed Size: 95-bed acute care facility
• Unit: Detox (13 beds)
• Patient Ratio: 1:7
• Population: Adults to Geriatric (occasional 17 y/o)

💼 Position Overview

• Role: Travel RN (MS-Detox)
• Openings: 1
• Shift: 36 hours/week (details provided at submission)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call: None
• Float: Possible (not routine)

📋 Requirements

• Experience:
  • Preferred: 5+ years
  • Acceptable: 3+ years
  • ER experience considered
• Certifications (Required before start):
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • Handle With Care (after hire)
• Licensure: Active Tennessee RN license
• Registry Check: Tennessee Abuse Registry clearance required

🧠 Clinical Skills

• Must Have:
  • IV access
  • Patient care across all ages
  • Bedside shift reporting
• Preferred:
  • CIWA / COWS protocols
  • PICC/Midline assistance

🩺 Common Cases & Treatments

• Substance & polysubstance abuse
• Alcohol withdrawal (ETOH)
• Seizures, syncope, liver disease
• Behavioral health conditions

Treatments include:

• Valium tapers
• Subutex, Vivitrol
• Banana bags
• Rescue meds & routine meds

🏥 Unit & Equipment

• IV pumps, Zoll monitors, IV catheters
• EHR: HMS / Medhost

• Team player & supportive
• Calm under pressure
• Strong clinical judgment
• Willing to learn & ask questions
• Professional (no drama, solution-oriented)

🎓 Education

• ASN minimum required

👕 Dress Code

• Any solid scrub color
• No open-toe shoes, hoodies, or unsafe accessories
