Description

Respiratory Therapist needed in Norfolk, VA for a hospital based assignment. You will provide respiratory care for adult patients across inpatient units and critical care areas as needed, including breathing treatments, oxygen titration, ABGs, airway management support, and ventilator and non invasive ventilation support within scope and facility policy. You will work closely with nursing, providers, and RT teammates to assess changes in respiratory status, respond to rapid responses and codes when required, and deliver safe, timely interventions in a fast paced environment.

Active Respiratory Therapist credential required (RRT preferred, CRT considered if facility allows) Active VA RT license required BLS required (ACLS preferred depending on facility) Recent acute care hospital experience required Comfortable with core RT skills: nebs, suctioning, ABGs, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow, oxygen titration, and ventilator support per policy Must be able to pass background, drug screen, and complete all facility compliance items on time Flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holidays as needed
