Description

🏥 Surgery Unit –

📍 Unit Overview

6 operating suites + 1 hybrid room
20–30 cases per day

📋 Requirements

Experience: Minimum 1 year full-time OR experience
Certifications:
- RNs: BLS & ACLS
- Techs: BLS only
Skills:
- OR & CVOR experience required
- Scrubbing required (RNs: No)

🔬 Case Types

Charge nurse + specialty leads available
House Supervisor onsite 24/7

💻 Systems

EMR: Cerner

⏰ Shifts & Scheduling

Shifts:
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Monday–Friday + call rotation

📞 Call Requirements

General OR: 4–5 weeknights
CVOR: 5–10 weeknights per 6 weeks (up to 50%)
Weekend:
- General OR: 5 x 12-hour shifts
- CVOR: 2 weekends per 6 weeks (up to 50%)
Holiday: 2–3 shifts/year
Call starts after 1–2 weeks
Response Time: 30 minutes

🔄 Floating

Rare for travelers
May assist with non-clinical tasks (e.g., food trays, patient sitting)
No floating to procedural areas (Pre-op/PACU)

👕 Additional Info

Hospital-provided scrubs
Orientation: 3–5 shifts (based on case exposure)
