Description
Job Title: Pharmacist (Full-Time) – Sterile Certified
Location: Pflugerville, TX - 78660
Schedule: 5 Days/Week | 38 Guaranteed Hours | Weekend Rotation Required (1–2 weekends/month)
Shift & Schedule Details
Schedule: 5 Days per Week
Guaranteed Hours: 38 Hours per Week
Meal Break: 30 Minutes (Unpaid)
Weekend Rotation: Required (1–2 weekends per month, rotating schedule with alternating days)
Weekday Shifts (Monday–Friday)
- 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Weekend Shifts:
- Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Note: Must be flexible, as the assigned shift may be any of the above time slots based on operational needs.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Certified Pharmacist to join a growing community pharmacy team in Pflugerville, Texas. This role is responsible for overseeing medication distribution, ensuring prescription accuracy, maintaining regulatory compliance, and providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is motivated, accountable, and committed to long-term growth within a collaborative and positive work environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and accurately fill prescriptions.
- Verify physician orders for appropriateness, legality, and correct dosage.
- Communicate with healthcare providers regarding prescriptions and patient medication plans.
- Provide consultation to patients regarding prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
- Accurately measure, prepare, and dispense medications, including sterile preparations as required.
- Maintain and manage pharmaceutical inventory; monitor expiration dates and product conditions.
- Stay updated on pharmaceutical advancements and best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations and sterile compounding.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and patient counseling abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional judgment and ethical decision-making skills.
Required Qualification
- Must have a PhD/Doctor’s Degree in PharmD-Rph specialization.
- Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy License.
- Sterile Certification in Texas (Required).
- Weekend availability (rotational basis)
