PRACTICE OVERVIEW:  Cancer Center - candidates must be comfortable working with cancer patients. Need to be compassionate, patient, friendly and kind.  Must have strong work ethic, be able to learn quickly, adapt in ambiguous situations. Must be able to commute to practice within 30 minutes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hybrid role (Medical Assisting, and Front Desk Work) - Room patients, vitals, phlebotomy, Body analyzer, spirometry etc.  - Front desk work – patient check in/check out, appointment scheduling, answer incoming calls, do outbound calls, and other related tasks.
• Main responsibility will be MA work, but will be trained to do front desk work as well. Need someone who is adaptive, proactive, willing to jump in to help at anytime, highly professional.
• In addition to MA rooming responsibilities, this position is responsible for the following:
  • Willingness to learn. Dedication to professionalism and patient care.
  • Attention to details is important.
  • Dedication to patient care and safety is required
  • Conduct regular inspections and inventory
  • Daily and Weekly Quality and Safety Checks of equipment
  • Clerical and Administrative Tasks that Support Patient Care
  • Assist with procedures a plus (Bone Marrow Bx, Gyn/Onc)
  • Instrument Pre-Sterilization a plus

EXPERIENCE: 2 years of Medical Office experience is Required
