Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for an acute care outpatient radiology department in Bronx, New York. The ideal candidate will have strong experience performing MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety, and operating multiple MRI systems efficiently. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining high-quality imaging standards and excellent patient care.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocols.
• Prepare and position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate MRI equipment safely and effectively, including Phillips, Siemens, and Toshiba systems.
• Review patient histories and verify appropriate imaging orders before procedures.
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to their needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and imaging records in PACS.
• Follow all safety guidelines, infection control standards, and facility protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare staff to support patient care.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of MRI imaging procedures and protocols.
• Experience working with Phillips, Siemens, and Toshiba MRI equipment.
• Familiarity with GE PACS and EPIC charting systems.
• Excellent patient positioning and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in an outpatient acute care setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to image quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• ARRT (R) certification required.
• ARRT (MR) certification required.
• Current NYS Radiologic License required.
• Must be eligible to work in a clinical acute care environment.
• Local candidates will be considered.
