Shift: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 PM–7:00 AM Total Gross Pay: $2,478.00 Location: 100 McGregor St., Manchester, NH 03102 Department: Radiology – Level A Licensure Requirement: NH MIRT License must be active prior to submission
About the Unit
- Unit: Ultrasound
- Rooms: 4 dedicated ultrasound rooms
- Team Size: 14 total staff
- Staffing Model:
- Days: 4 sonographers + supervisor
- Evenings (after 7:30 PM): 1 sonographer
- Nights: 1 sonographer
- Patient Volume: 8–10 patients per 8‑hour shift
- Equipment: Siemens Acuson S2000, GE Logiq E10
- EMR: Allscripts
- PACS: InteleRad
- Patient Population: Pediatric through geriatric
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with strong clinical skills, excellent patient care, and the ability to work independently on the night shift. Candidates must demonstrate competency across general, vascular, and OB/GYN ultrasound in an acute‑care environment.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet all of the following to be considered:
- Active NH MIRT Licensure
- RDMS certification
- BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and pathology; ability to differentiate normal vs. abnormal findings
- Proficient scanning skills with understanding of sonographic physics and techniques
- Clinical experience in a hospital or acute‑care setting with exposure to general, vascular, and OB/GYN exams
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following will be prioritized:
- Additional certifications: RVT, OB/GYN, AB
- Experience performing ultrasound‑guided procedures and OR support
- Minimum 1 year of post‑education experience
Common Procedures
Procedures performed in the department include:
- Thoracentesis, paracentesis
- FNAs (thyroid, parotid, lymph nodes)
- Soft‑tissue mass and lymph‑node biopsies
- Liver and renal biopsies
- Drainages (abscess, cyst, hematoma, gallbladder)
- Thrombin injections
- OR procedures: breast needle localization, carotids, D&Cs, prostate biopsies

- No formal on‑call; a call tree is used for critical staffing needs (permanent FT staff only)
