Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for an acute care assignment in Albany, Georgia. The ideal candidate must have strong critical care experience, be comfortable with intubations, and be able to manage high-acuity, heavy workloads in a fast-paced hospital setting. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience, 1 travel contract, and prior experience in a 300+ bed facility.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care treatments including nebulizer treatments, airway management, vapotherm, BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilator management
• Perform ABG collection, bedside PFTs, chest physiotherapy, and blood gas monitoring
• Respond as first line for intubations and assist with airway stabilization during emergencies and codes
• Manage ventilated patients in adult ICU settings and provide recommendations for ventilator adjustments
• Read and interpret ABGs, report critical values, and collaborate with physicians and care teams
• Place A-lines in ICU settings and assist with bronchoscopies as needed
• Care for adult and pediatric patients, with NICU responsibilities requiring NRP if applicable
• Work as Charge RT or Clinical Coordinator when assigned
• Maintain accurate documentation in MEDITECH EMR
• Adhere to unit workflow expectations, scheduling requirements, and hospital policies

Requirements:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Active Georgia state license required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required

• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• NRP required only if working in NICU
