Job Opportunity: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse
• Experience Required: Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience prior to travel assignment
• License Requirement: Must have a permanent Ohio RN license or a compact state license in hand
• Certifications Required:

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1.5 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• 18 months or more of total travel nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Certification or competency in CHEMO, CVOR, CST, and NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements

• Background checks including FCRA compliant 7-year search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and fingerprinting (FBI and BCI)
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing and updated annually
• Competency exams including medication administration and ECG interpretation required at orientation
• Completion of baseline competency exams (medication and ECG) with passing scores
• Annual skills checklist and core competency training required
• Physical and health documentation must be current and compliant with facility standards
• Candidates must complete all required onboarding and training modules on a computer using Google Chrome prior to start
• Candidates with gaps in employment greater than 6 months may need to repeat orientation and modules
• Legal name must be used consistently on all documentation

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Candidates can start with fingerprinting results pending as long as fingerprinting is completed prior to start
• Facility requires latex allergy notification if applicable
• Medical and religious exemptions for vaccines and fit mask are accepted but require agency and facility approval
• Candidates must be prepared to submit detailed work history and employment applications including at least 3 years prior work history with 2 years in acute care Med/Surg Telemetry or similar area

This position is ideal for experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RNs licensed in Ohio or compact states who are seeking a travel contract with day shifts and 12-hour schedules.
