What you need to know:
Must be flexible with weekend requirements (up to 50% of weekends)
Floating is required across multiple levels of care
Must be open to working with students/precepting during assignment

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Telemetry and neuro experience required Experience managing drips required Active RN license required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required First-time travelers accepted Locals not accepted Floating required (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU as needed, with support) Weekend requirement based on unit needs (up to 50%) Refusal to float may result in contract termination Teaching facility: must be open to precepting and/or having students shadow Patient population may include: CVA, hydrocephalus, TBIs, seizures Brain tumors and resections Trauma cases (MVCs, falls, GSWs, etc.) GI surgeries and complex wound care Staffing ratios typically 1:3–4 (may increase during emergencies)
