Job Title: Anesthesia Technician
Unit: Anesthesia Tech- Surgery Department
Location: Boise, ID, 83712
Shift: Day, Evening  (8hr day/evening shift, variable days)
Shift Length: 8 hours 
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Duration: 13 weeks

 

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician with at least 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will support anesthesia providers by preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment, ensuring patient safety, and assisting during surgical procedures. Candidates must hold Cer.A.T. or Cer.A.T.T. certification through ASATT and be BLS certified through AHA. Pediatric experience is preferred, along with hands-on experience working with GE and Mindray anesthesia machines. Strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning of anesthesia machines.
  • Setting up circuits.
  • Doing anesthesia machine checks.
  • Wiping down machines
  • Inventory Anesthesia Machines.
  • Omnicells.
  • Supply Cabinets.
  • Restocking.
  • Moving items to a needed location.
  • Multitasking.

Skills:

  • Proficient in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting anesthesia equipment, including GE and Mindray machines
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia supplies, airway management tools, and infection control practices
  • Ability to assist anesthesia providers during procedures, ensuring patient safety and smooth workflow
  • Skilled in monitoring equipment functionality and responding quickly in emergency situations
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to work in fast-paced acute care settings
  • Effective communication and teamwork with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and clinical staff

Documents Required:

  • Technician (Cer.A.T.) via ASATT

    Or

  • Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.) Certificate via ASATT
  • BLS Certified through AHA
