Job Title: Ultrasound Tech - RDMS Registered
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Shift: Days, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 04/13/2026
Schedule: 35 Hours/Week | 5 Days/Week | Rotating Weekends and Holidays Required

 

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Tech - RDMS Registered for a part-time assignment in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience in general ultrasound and must also have experience performing cardiac (heart) scans. This role requires strong clinical skills, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform general ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
  • Conduct cardiac (heart) scans as required
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain the process clearly
  • Operate ultrasound equipment safely and accurately
  • Review images for quality and ensure proper documentation
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to support patient care
  • Follow infection control, safety, and hospital policies at all times
  • Participate in rotating weekends and holiday coverage as needed
  • Attend in-person interviews as required

Skills:

  • General Registered Ultrasound experience
  • Experience performing cardiac scans
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented acute care environment
  • Attention to detail and strong technical ability

Requirements:

  • Minimum one (1) year of General Registered Ultrasound experience
  • Completion of an appropriate training program for Ultrasound Technologist, including Military Training (Preferred)
  • RDMS certification by ARDMS required
  • BLS preferred
  • Must be available for in-person interview only
  • No virtual interviews
  • Alternating weekends required
  • Weekends and holidays required
