Location: Twin Falls, ID, 83301
Shift: Nights, 7p-7a, weekends as needed
Shift Length: 12 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Duration: 13 weeks

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D) with 3+ years of acute care experience to provide high-quality care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period. The ideal candidate will be skilled in fetal monitoring, patient assessment, and managing obstetric emergencies in a fast-paced environment. Must hold current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications. Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team are essential for success in this role.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to mothers during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period, ensuring maternal and fetal well-being.
• Monitor fetal heart rate and contractions, and assess patient status to identify any complications.
• Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and emergency procedures such as C-sections.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and pain management interventions as prescribed.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process, ensuring proper documentation and care coordination.

Skills:

• Strong fetal monitoring and interpretation of fetal heart rate patterns
• Proficient in labor support, delivery assistance, and emergency obstetric care
• Skilled in administering medications, IV therapy, and pain management (including epidurals)
• Excellent patient assessment, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making abilities
• Effective communication and emotional support for patients and families during childbirth

Documents Required:

• Valid ID State RN license
• ACLS Through AHA
• BLS Through AHA
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
