📍 Facility Details

• Location: Berlin, Vermont
• Beds: 88 Inpatient Beds
• Unit: Women & Children’s Unit (LDRP)
• Annual Deliveries: ~300

👩‍⚕️ Unit Overview

• Specialty: Labor & Delivery, Newborn, Postpartum (LDRP)
• Unit Setup:
  • 7 inpatient beds
  • 3 triage rooms
• Patient Types: Labor, Delivery, Newborn, Postpartum + occasional Med/Surg overflow
• Age Range: All

📋 Requirements

• Experience:
  • 1+ year L&D (Required)
  • LDRP experience (Must-have)
  • Prior travel experience (Preferred)
• EMR: Epic (within last 2 years – required)

🪪 Certifications

• Required: BLS, NRP
• Preferred: ACLS, PALS (or PEARS), STABLE

👶 Key Skills Required

• Baby nurse at delivery
• Neonatal resuscitation
• Assigning APGAR scores
• Newborn meds administration
• Independent LDRP care (community hospital setting – no NICU onsite)

⚖️ Patient Ratios

• Active Labor / Pitocin: 1:1
• Couplets: 2–3 (up to 4–6 depending on census)

🕒 Schedule & Shifts

• Shifts: 7a–7p / 7p–7a (rotating)
• Weekend: Every other
• Call: 2 × 12-hr shifts per 4 weeks
• Holidays: Required
• Scheduling: “When to Work” app

🔄 Floating

• Required as helping hands only (no assignments)
• May float within organization

🏥 Support & Equipment

• Support:
  • Respiratory (24/7)
  • Anesthesia (not always in-house 24/7)
• Equipment:
  • Electronic Fetal Monitors
  • Smart Pumps
  • Mindray cardiac monitor

👕 Dress Code

• Scrubs: Light blue (provided)
• Shoes: Closed toe
