RN-HOUSE SUPERVISOR

DESCRIPTION:

Job Title: RN Supervisor – Skilled Nursing Facility
Shift: Combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

3 shifts: 8 hours (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
1 shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Facility Census: Average daily census of 180 residents
Traveler Policy: First-time travelers accepted; local candidates must live more than 75 miles away

Special Equipment

Wound vacs
PICC lines
Nephrostomy tubes
Tube feeding systems
Indwelling catheters
Colostomies

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of RN experience
Previous Charge Nurse or supervisory experience required
BLS certification required
Epic EMR experience required

Required Skills & Competencies

Skilled Nursing Facility experience
Code management and emergency response
De-escalation techniques and managing assaultive behavior
Incident reporting and risk management
Infection control and isolation procedures
Knowledge of regulatory standards (DPH, TJC, OSHA)
HIPAA compliance and documentation protocols
New admissions and patient flow coordination
IV initiation and maintenance
PICC line care and management
Staff supervision and performance coaching
Workplace safety and emergency preparedness
Knowledge of federal and state labor laws including FMLA
