<p>Minimum Experience REQUIRED: 2 years RN experience, 1 full year of stepdown experience, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.<br />Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)<br />Patient Population: Cardiac (post cath stents/interventions, pacers), CIWA/BH, Sepsis, DKA, CVA, CPAP, feeding tubes, crani POD 2, GI bleeds, hypothermic/bear hugger.<br />Skillset:<br />REQUIRED- Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (TRAVELERS ARE REQUIRED TO PASS TELE TESTS), Initiate/titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin, Insulin, etc.). Post surgical assessment/care. NIHSS/Neuro assessments/dysphagia screen.<br />PREFFERED- Stable home vents, PleurX drain/pericardial drains, lumber drains, VP shunts, Narcan drips. Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!<br />Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates.</p><p> </p><p>Unit Information: 16 beds; Ratio: Days 1:3-4; NOCs 1:3-4 (1:5 for M/S). CN takes 1:2 patient assignment.<br />Unit Strengths: Fantastic CNA support, very helpful charge nurses, great teamwork.</p>
