Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech

Location: Fishers, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• On Call: As needed, 7:30 PM – 6:00 AM
• Work Settings: Outpatient, Inpatient, Emergency Room, Adult ICU
• Procedures: Extremities, Abdomen/GI, Spine/Pelvis, Head, Chest/Thorax, Musculoskeletal, Lower/Upper Extremities
• Equipment: PACS, Portable X-Ray machines

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technician license in Indiana
• Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technician or X-Ray Tech experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• ARRT certification

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
• Background checks including 7 years of residence/work history, criminal, sex offender, and education verification
• State license verification within 30 days before start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 12 months (specific respirator models required)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no exemptions)
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no exemptions or history accepted)
  • Hepatitis B: Series, titer, or signed declination required
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Strongly recommended
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for flu season (9/30 – 3/31)
• Color blind exam (Ishihara or equivalent) with minimum 100% score
• References: Minimum 2 from recent employment with appropriate supervisory titles
• Current employment application with full work history and explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist completed within 12 months and annually thereafter

Additional Notes

• No floating assignments required
• Call-in shift policies vary based on FTE status (0.9 or 1.2 FTE)
• Indiana RN restrictions effective 11/30/24 do not apply to this position
• On-site fit testing available only as a last resort with limitations
