JOB DESCRIPTION
Ultrasound Technologist

● Department Information:
o Census? Average patients? 1-2 patients per hour
o Minimum Years of Experience required? 5 years
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Pediatric, adult, often high acuity
● Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
o BLS
o ARDMS-AB
● Skills required:
o Ability to pull and push
o Good communication skills
o Time management
● Support within the Department:
o Radiologists on site
● Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
o Department specific Equipment: Client Logiq 10
● Floating
o Potential to float depending on shift; inpatient, outpatient, ED, pediatrics
● Orientation (facility and unit):
o NEO
o 2 days departmental
● Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: depends on needs
o On call? No
o Holiday Expectations: No major holidays
o RTO: Resource Team approval
o Shift times: Vary
o Schedule cycle: every 2 weeks
