Job Overview

A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed for a contract assignment within a skilled nursing setting in Monterey County, CA. The ideal candidate will support occupational therapy treatment plans, collaborate closely with the supervising Occupational Therapist, and contribute to high-quality rehabilitative care for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans for both short-term and long-term residents.
• Collaborate effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist and multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with facility procedures, Medicare guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using Net Health.
• Support residents in achieving greater functional independence through therapeutic interventions.

Requirements

• Active California OTA license (or eligible upon acceptance).
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred; mentorship available for candidates with 0–1 year experience.
• Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced rehab environment.
• Flexibility to work the assigned schedule (Sun–Thurs OR Tues–Sat).
