Position Details

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg
Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Schedule: 3x12s (36 hours/week) + every other weekend
Start Date: April 29, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Setting: Acute Care Hospital (25-bed critical access facility)

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care to primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric cases
Deliver comprehensive Med/Surg nursing care including medical, surgical, observation, and swing bed patients
Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams
Ensure holistic patient care addressing physical, emotional, and developmental needs

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of acute care experience
Active Vermont RN license (or compact license)
BLS & ACLS certifications (required prior to start)
Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
Must be comfortable treating adult patients with occasional pediatrics
(Pediatric-only candidates will not be considered)
