Job Title: Echo / Vascular Technician
Location: Chesapeake, VA 23320
Schedule: 3 Days per Week | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 24 Hours per Week

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Echo / Vascular Technician to perform diagnostic echocardiography and vascular ultrasound examinations in a fast-paced clinical environment. The technician will perform both limited and complete echocardiograms as well as vascular ultrasound studies of the carotid arteries and abdominal aorta. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality imaging and accurate data collection to assist cardiologists and radiologists in interpreting patient studies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform limited and complete echocardiograms on patients.
- Conduct vascular ultrasound exams, including carotid artery and abdominal aorta studies.
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain the exam process.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Ensure accurate documentation of exam findings and patient information.
- Provide clear and accurate imaging data for cardiologists and radiologists to interpret.
- Maintain patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality during examinations.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Utilize PACS systems to store and manage imaging results.
- Follow all facility protocols and quality standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification required with issuance in Virginia.
- Knowledge of echocardiography and vascular sonography preferred.
- Experience using PACS imaging systems preferred.
- Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Ultrasound or related field preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to capture accurate diagnostic images.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
