Position Details RN – Cardiac Telemetry 4 West NO LOCAL CANDIDATES (no candidates within 50-mile radius) MUST pass EKG Exam at Orientation (Study Guide Available in Simplify Library) Minimum 1 year recent acute care experience required Telemetry experience required Minimum 1 year travel experience required EPIC experience preferred Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Schedule: 36-Hr GTE, 12-Hr Nights; every other weekend and major holiday required Interview Process: ITO interview Unit Specific Details Cardiac Telemetry 4 West Patient Population: Pre/Post cath patients, mixed telemetry unit, post strokes, Afib, CHF exacerbation, No sheath pulling (done in cath lab) Drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Heparin (non-titratable) Lines/Drains/Devices: Peripheral IVs, telemetry monitoring, Hoyer lifts Equipment: Alaris pumps, LifPak defibrillators, glucometers, Dynamaps, Kangaroo pumps Oxygen: Nasal cannula, may include higher-level oxygen Floating: To other Med/Surg units is possible Ratio*: 1:4–5
