Description
UNIT: MEDSURG (5100) - 7510
Minimum Experience REQUIRED: 3 years of strong Med/Surg, 2 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
Certs Req: to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS.
Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
Float Requirement: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
Patient Population: Med/Surg. population - post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, CHF. Skillset: Remote tele, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foleys, ostomies, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy are, PCA management
