12 hour night shifts- eow required 1900-0730- 3 out of 6 holidays required

🏥 Facility Overview (Eagleville – 5 Units)

• Work across 5 units (acute psych, detox, rehab)
• ~15 beds per unit
• Staffing (acuity-based):
  • 1 RN (prefer 2)
  • 1–2 psych techs
• Low-violence environment, but behavioral issues possible
• Security + crisis (Code White) team available 24/7

📋 Requirements

• COVID vaccine + boosters required (medical exemptions only with documentation)
• Certifications: BLS (crisis training during orientation)
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years
  • Strong residential rehab experience preferred
• Skills:
  • IV therapy experience (required)
  • Strong communication with multidisciplinary teams
  • Comfortable with ambulatory psych/addiction population

👩‍⚕️ Job Duties

• Admissions (no overnight admits)
• Medication administration (patients come to nurse)
• Assessments
• Group sessions (focus on medication education)
• Collaboration with care team
• Occasional assistance with meals

🧠 Patient Population

• Indigent population
• Co-occurring mental health + substance use disorders
• Common conditions:
  • Depression, schizophrenia, personality disorders
  • Substance abuse (IV drug use common)
• Some medically complex detox patients
• Closest ER is 2 hours away → call 911 for emergencies
• Facility provides BLS only

🏢 Units Breakdown

• OAK1: Long-term psych (55+, depression, schizophrenia)
• PC1: Acute psych + addiction (72-hour holds, detox from jail/community)
• D2E: Detox (IV treatments, PICC lines, Suboxone/methadone)
• D2W: Detox with more medical needs (diabetes, wound care, CPAP)
• CTW: Residential rehab (less acute, easier workflow)

🔄 Floating

• Travelers float first
• Acute → rehab possible
• Rehab = lighter workload (no admits, simplified charting)

🧾 Orientation

• 3 days hospital orientation
• Unit-specific orientation across all 5 units

📅 Scheduling Requirements

• Every other weekend
• 3 major holidays (out of 6)
• No call/standby

👕 Dress Code

• Navy scrubs (white/navy undershirt allowed)
• Tattoos must be covered
• No nails
