Shift & Schedule

Shift: Night
Hours: 3 × 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
Holiday/Weekend Policy: Every other weekend and holiday required. All time off requests must be submitted and approved prior to offer.

Job Description

Unit: CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)
Patient Mix:
- Fresh heart post-op patients
- Ventilated patients
- Chest tubes and lumbar drains
- Chronic and acute renal failure
Float Requirements: Floating to all ICUs, PACU, ED for ICU holding patients, and all IMC units

Experience & Requirements

Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 years current CVICU experience
- SICU experience may be considered with CVICU training
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Local Applicants: Accepted

Certifications

Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Skills & Equipment Experience

Skills:
- Post-Op Open Heart Recovery
- Swan Flotrack, Temp Pacers, Arterial Lines (Alines), Chest Tubes
- CVICU experience with fresh open heart procedures (CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR)
Equipment:
- Impella, IABP, CRRT using Prismax OR experience with fresh heart cases

1:1 – 1:2 (may vary when floated)
