Description

Shift & Schedule

  • Shift: Night
  • Hours: 3 × 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
  • Holiday/Weekend Policy: Every other weekend and holiday required. All time off requests must be submitted and approved prior to offer.

Job Description

  • Unit: CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)
  • Patient Mix:
    • Fresh heart post-op patients
    • Ventilated patients
    • Chest tubes and lumbar drains
    • Chronic and acute renal failure
  • Float Requirements: Floating to all ICUs, PACU, ED for ICU holding patients, and all IMC units

Experience & Requirements

  • Required Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years current CVICU experience
    • SICU experience may be considered with CVICU training
  • First-Time Travelers: Accepted
  • Local Applicants: Accepted

Certifications

  • Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Skills & Equipment Experience

  • Skills:
    • Post-Op Open Heart Recovery
    • Swan Flotrack, Temp Pacers, Arterial Lines (Alines), Chest Tubes
    • CVICU experience with fresh open heart procedures (CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR)
  • Equipment:
    • Impella, IABP, CRRT using Prismax OR experience with fresh heart cases

Patient Ratios

  • 1:1 – 1:2 (may vary when floated)
