Radiation Therapist – Day Shift (Mon–Fri)

Shift Information

• Schedule: 5×8‑hour shifts
• Hours: 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM
• Days: Monday–Friday
• No weekends | No call

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Associate’s Degree in Radiography
• ARRT Certification – Radiation Therapy
• BLS Certification
• Ohio State License

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed Radiation Therapy treatments
• Maintain accurate and complete daily treatment records, including dosages, calculations, and required documentation
• Perform CT simulations, acquiring treatment parameters, patient contours, and dose calculations
• Monitor and document patient condition and progress daily (e.g., weight changes, skin reactions, overall tolerance)
• Maintain and coordinate patient schedules for both inpatients and outpatients
• Communicate regularly with patients, families, and hospital personnel to ensure efficient scheduling and patient‑centered care
• Assist the Radiation Oncologist with Brachytherapy procedures
• Support care for both outpatients traveling to the department and inpatients transported by hospital services

Department & Equipment Overview

• Outpatient Radiation Oncology Department within the hospital
• Treating patients 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 1 Linear Accelerator (Varian TrueBeam)
• Treatment modalities include:
  • 3D Conformal
  • IMRT
  • SRS
  • SBRT
• 1 CT Scanner for simulation appointments, staffed by Radiation Therapists
• 3 Radiation Oncologists on-site daily for:
  • Consultations
  • Follow‑ups
  • On‑Treatment Visits
