The CVOR RN specializes in caring for patients undergoing cardiac and major vascular surgeries. These surgeries may include open-heart procedures, bypass surgeries, valve replacements, transplants, aneurysm repairs, and other complex cardiovascular operations.
 
CVOR RN Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preoperative assessments and verify patient identity, procedure, consent, allergies, and site/side marking.
• Prepare the operating room with necessary supplies, equipment, implants, and instruments.
• Coordinate communication among the surgical team, anesthesia, and support staff.
• Maintain patient safety and advocate for proper positioning, padding, temperature regulation, and infection control.

CVOR RN Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (OH or Compact)
• 2 recent years of CVOR RN experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required
