Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Mental Health Coordinators to provide non-medical clinical mental health services within a secure correctional environment. This role focuses on assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and crisis intervention for an adult inmate population. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work within a structured facility setting.

Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• 5x8-hour shifts
• 1st or 2nd shift
• Weekday and weekend availability required
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week (open availability required per facility scheduling needs)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health screenings and clinical assessments through record review and inmate interviews
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans
• Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and ongoing mental health support
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Ensure strict confidentiality of all patient records and information
• Apply evidence-based counseling theories and techniques

Minimum Qualifications

• Active California license: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT (required)
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related clinical field
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience
  • Includes at least 2 years in a comparable role
• US Citizenship required (ICE facility requirement)
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Valid driver’s license preferred

Interview & Clearance Process

• Two interviews required
  • RightSourcing interview
  • Facility interview
• ICE clearance required
• Clearance timeline: approximately 3–6 weeks

Compensation

• $55/hour
• Weekly pay package starting at $2,200 + travel
• 40 hours per week guaranteed

Travel Details (For Travelers Only – 70+ Miles From Facility)

• Housing reimbursement up to $200/day (receipts required)
• Rental car up to $75/day (must include all taxes and fees)
• Airfare: Domestic only, up to $900 roundtrip or lowest logical fare
• Mileage reimbursement available in lieu of flight (up to 500 miles at IRS rate)
• Meals and incidentals not reimbursed
