- Address: Bangor, ME
- Level II Trauma Center
- Beds: 411
- General Information:
- Beds: 26 ICU; include some negative pressure rooms
- Experience? 2 years minimum in ICU
- First-time traveler? Yes
- Patient Types:
- Medical, Surgical, Trauma, Neuro, Ortho, Interventional patients
- ICP monitoring, External Ventricular drain (EVD), spinal precautions, DKA, Multi system trauma patients, Sepsis, ARDS, COVID, PNA, COPD, Stroke
- Patient Ratios:
- 1:2 – based on acuity (may get 3rd patient as one is being discharged or moved to the floor)
- Required Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- PALS (preferred) – traveler may float to PICU if experienced and has PALS currently
- Skills required:
- Please ask all travelers about charge experience and include in the offer info if they have/have not worked in a CRN capacity
- Neuro and Trauma experience are an absolute must – EVD & ICP monitoring
- Ventilator management, critical care drips, drain management, stroke experience, hemodynamic lines (A-lines/CVP), cardiac rhythm recognition, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, strong assessment skills
- PICU experience (preferred but not required) – could float to this unit if experienced and there is a need – please let CRT know in offer email if traveler does have this experience
- Floating:
- To the Cardiac Care Unit (ICU) – will take patients within scope
- Cardiac Stepdown or Medical Stepdown
- PICU if they have Peds experience
Other notes:
- Scrub Color: Any solid color, must be professional
- Parking: Free parking in designated areas
